Wendy Sprintz, 76 years old, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on November 25, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at Daniel Pointe Retirement Community on Thursday, December 18th, at 10:00 AM.

Wendy was born in New York City on June 6th, 1949, to Sylvia Polak and Saul Horn.

Prior to her retirement, Wendy dedicated her career to event planning at Duke Clinical Research Institute, where she worked as a Manager of Clinical Education & Events, putting her organizational skills and resourcefulness to use. Wendy was a creative and generous person who treasured the many friends who brought joy, laughter, and companionship into her life. She was an avid mahjong and bridge player, and she proudly taught a mosaics class for two years at the Daniel Pointe Retirement Community, where her patience, talent, and fun spirit made her a beloved presence to the other residents in the community. Wendy even dabbled in substitute teaching to keep herself sharp and engaged.

Above all else, Wendy loved her family, including her sister, son, grandchildren, nephews, and cousins. She was particularly passionate about spending time with her beloved grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was spend her summers with her family at the beach and compete in the family Beach Week Scrabble tournament. Her kindness, creativity, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Hart; her father, Saul Horn; and her daughter, Jessica Norwood.

Wendy is survived by her son, Jonathan Sprintz; her sister, Lori Postal; and her grandchildren, Locke, Archer, and Cleo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
