Walter C. Hoyt, 73, of Summerville, SC peacefully passed away at his home.

Walter was born on December 12, 1951 and moved to the Albany, NY area from Buffalo, NY.

Walter served in the military (Vietnam War veteran, U.S. Army). He worked a variety of jobs over the years — including as a chef, truck driver, janitor, rental car transporter, and even security and asset protection.

His hobbies included spending time with family, traveling, and keeping up with the Buffalo Bills football team. He also enjoyed getting a cup of Stewart's coffee and watching Western classics any time of day.

Walter is survived by his children Jaclyn Grace of Edinburgh, Scotland and Nikolas Dobies of Niskayuna, NY; and many other close friends.

Walter was predeceased by his loving wife, Alene Cecile Brefka.

Walter will forever be remembered by his kindness and generosity, along with his witty sense of humor.
