Todd A. Kaminski, 49, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in the embrace of his loving wife on April 1st, 2025.

Todd was born in Elyria, Ohio on October 30, 1975, to his adoring parents, James and Linda Kaminski. Todd was a 1994 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and a 1998 graduate of Ohio University.

Todd dedicated his career to public service, starting as a deputy and subsequently taking on various positions within local government. His last and most revered position was with the Town of Kiawah Island. Todd always put his family first, and he cherished every moment he could with those he loved. He embraced life and travel, he loved the outdoors, hiking, music, and any fun time put in front of him. A spirited personality who welcomed new friends and valued his oldest and deepest relationships.

Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Kaminski, and is survived and missed by his loving wife, Helen; father, James; sister, Christen Schuster (Drew); and his brother, Michael Kaminski (Heather). His memory lives on as "fun-cle" with his nieces and nephews: Mason, Carter, Rylan, Conlan, Paul, Penelope, Christina, Stephanie, and James.

Todd led a life characterized by a profound desire for exploration and adventure. Reflecting his independent nature, Todd wished to be cremated and have his ashes scattered along the coast of Hilton Head Island, the place where his heart always found its home.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date for those who wish to gather in memory of Todd to reminisce, laugh, and share stories. Todd was a larger-than-life individual whose charismatic personality left an impression on so many.
