Thomas Seaborn Martin, III (Tom), 67 years old, of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away on April 26, 2025. Tom was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved and will be missed.


Tom was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on October 20, 1957, the only son of Thomas Seaborn Martin II and Mary Janet Martin. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Martin, Amy Martin, and Melissa Franklin; his grandchildren Collin, Luke, Molly, Solara and Marcus; his sisters Chlotilde, Lyn, Marian, Kathleen and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law Thomas, Claude and Chris; and nieces and nephews Randall, Amanda, James, Rebecca, Josh, Mary, Astrid and Axel.


Tom worked as a lab technician for various corporations and laboratories. He had an enduring love for music and astronomy that he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. He lived as he loved, with an open mind and heart.


A memorial in celebration of Tom's life will be held at 11:00 am at his sister's home in Beaufort. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Diabetes Association, Parkinson's Association, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness
