Obituary

Theodore James Branowitzer, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Johns Island, South Carolina, surrounded by his loving family. Formerly from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Theodore carried with him the warmth and humor of his hometown throughout his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn Branowitzer, with whom he shared 55 years of cherished marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in love, respect, and laughter. Theodore was the proud father of three children—Melissa Sebastian, Carrie Gilman, and Casey Branowitzer—who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

He also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren: Hailey Gilman, Gavin Sebastian, Lexi Gilman, and Sylas Branowitzer, who brought him endless joy and pride.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Theodore served during the Vietnam War. He then went on to work as a signal inspector for both the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad and CSX Railroad, taking great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way.

In his free time, Theodore found great joy in restoring his beloved hot rod truck and working on cars. His passion for classic vehicles brought him endless satisfaction and many memorable moments shared with family and friends.

He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews who will deeply miss his warmth and humor.
