Who was Tammie Marie Jones? There are many who can tell you who she was not.

Tammie was not a person with a mean or selfish bone in her body. She never walked away from someone in need even when doing so would have been in her own best interest. She was not a person who ever said "No" when called upon even if a request stretched her to her limits. Tammie was not a person who harbored any ill will toward anyone on this planet.

Tammie was a person who kept her true feelings buried deep down. Few people had the privilege of crossing or glimpsing beyond that barrier. She was a kind and gentle soul who dearly loved the people in her life and quietly coveted the same in return. Tammie was a genuine earth angel who was always looking out for the best interest of others often ignoring her own needs. Whatever her faults, Tammie had her priorities in right order … God, family, and friends.

Tammie Marie Jones, born May 6, 1960, left this earth for her eternal home in Glory on March 9, 2024. She is survived by the shining star in her life, her daughter Kelly Marie Berens along with husband Ryan, her father Earl G. Cox Jr. and wife Kathleen Dahl-Cox, her mother Patricia Walters and husband Jim Walters, brother Gregg Cox and wife Katherine Cox, brother Chris Cox, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a third brother who she adopted into her loving heart and life many years ago and with whom she shared a special bond, Kevin (Burger) Griffin.

Tammie was a pure soul who reflected our Lord's love to all. Surely her desire for those she left behind would be to embrace each day with love and appreciation. We are not promised the next day, hour, or even minute. Today is a gift from God. That's why it's called the "present.
