Sherry Hart Friendly, 76, Summerville, SC, passed away on April 4, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her children. Her sense of humor, resilience and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her and will never be forgotten. Sherry had a gift for making people smile. Whether through her humor, her honest words, or her comforting presence she made those around her feel loved and understood. Her strength carried her through life's challenges, and her love held her family together.

Sherry Friendly was born in Nashville, TN on September 16, 1949, a daughter of Edward Joseph Gibson and Jessie Neal Hart (Clyde Eugene Hart).

Sherry was the proud mother of six children: Stephanie (Loren), Melanie (Kenneth), William, Kevin, Beverly (Perry), and Patricia (Ben). She found great joy in her growing family and cherished the bonds she built with each of them. She was a loving grandmother to thirteen grandchildren: Joey, Colt, Travis, Bradlee (Amy), Philip, Cody (Kelsey), Courtney, Harley, Kylee, Chase, Brittney, Ava and Alaina. Her legacy continues through her four great-grandchildren, Rosemary, Clyde, Hazel and Emma, who brought her endless happiness.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents Jessie Hart & Clyde Hart, her father, Edward Gibson, her sister Shirley O'Dell and her brother Tommy Hampton.

Her legacy is one of laughter, resilience, unwavering devotion to her family and God. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
