Ronald Guy Peterson of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2024. He was born in Viroqua, Wisconsin, on April 7, 1954, to Guy and Karibell Peterson, who later moved to Beloit, Wisconsin, where he attended school until his graduation in 1972 from Beloit Memorial High School.

Before retiring, Ron worked as a PDS Piping Designer. For many years, he worked as a contract designer, enabling him to travel throughout the US and to make numerous friends. He enjoyed listening to music; studying various cultures, especially Louisiana, the US civil war, and the Vietnam War; and cooking and entertaining. He also loved his dog, Buddy.

Ron is survived by his wife, Svetlana; his daughter, Hillary Peterson, from his previous marriage to Mary Dudley Jero; three grandsons, Jacob, Benjamin, and Samuel; a stepdaughter, Felicia, from his previous marriage to Monica; a step grandson, James; three sisters, Ruth, Lynda, and Sheryl; as well as many nieces and nephews. His gentle sense of humor and warm smile will be sadly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 22, at the Charleston Cremation Center and Funeral Home.
