Robert R. "Bob" Rodgers was born on June 2, 1939, in Cushing, Oklahoma, and passed away on February 9, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, at the age of 85. Bob attended both Agra and Cushing High Schools before earning his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University.

Bob had always dreamed of working with automobile manufacturers and this lifelong passion for automobiles led to a distinguished career in the automotive industry. He worked with Nissan Motor Corp USA and Subaru of America and was part of the start-up team for Hyundai Motor America. His roles took him across the country and around the world—traveling to all but two U.S. states and more than 24 countries. Over the years, he advanced from district manager to regional management and eventually to national leadership positions. Beyond his career, Bob's love for cars extended well into his personal life. His work introduced him to people from all walks of life, including janitors, astronauts, professional golfers, movie and TV stars, and even U.S. Presidents, Governors, Congressmen, and Senators. He believed in treating everyone with equal respect and valued each interaction deeply. Following Hyundai Motor America's establishment in the Southeast, a career highlight was being invited to speak at the 13-State Southeast Governors Conference in Palm Beach, Florida .

Bob is survived by his wife, Andrea Lynn-Rodgers; his five children: Robin Mize of Atlanta; Shannon Rodgers of Rhode Island; Mickelle Rodriguez of Washington, D.C.; Joseph Warren of Daniel Island, South Carolina; and Graham Warren, MD, PhD, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church on Friday, February 21 at 1:00 pm. Final arrangement assistance is being provided by Charleston Cremation Center. His ashes will be laid to rest beside his grandmother in Flynn Cemetery, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
