Reginald Eugene Glassburn, 79 years of age, passed peacefully at home on Monday, March 20, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

Memorial service will be at 2:00pm Monday March 27, 2023 at Crosstowne Church, 1941 Bees Ferry Rd, Charleston SC 29414. A memorial service in Indiana will be planned at a later date.

Reg was born October 16, 1943 in Elkhart, IN to the late Harold and Virginia Glassburn. He was the oldest of 5 children, preceded in death by one sibling. Reg graduated from Concord Community High School in 1961.

Reg and his surviving wife, Dawn (Ecklebarger), were married for 53 years and had 4 children. Early in the marriage, Reg obtained an associates degree at IVY Tech and pursued a career in management. On the weekends, he taught skiing at Swiss Valley Ski Resort and was a member of the ski club. He and Dawn played many different sports together throughout the years. Reg and his family moved to Syracuse, IN in 1986 where he was able to realize his dream of living on the lake. Reg was instrumental in establishing a soccer team at Wawasee High School. He coached both his son and daughters. In 2012, after retiring, Reg and Dawn moved to Johns Island, SC to be near their youngest daughter. They continued to live on the water which he loved.

Reg enjoyed being physically active. He was a homebody who loved being with his family. He was a quiet man who spoke volumes with his devotion to family and friends. Reg professed his life to Christ and joined the Crosstowne Church where he was a greeter.

Reg leaves to cherish his loving memory his 4 children and their spouses, Cori (Erich) Brandstetter, Cari (Beth) Glassburn, Chad (Jessica) Glassburn, Casi (Steven) Johnson, and his 6 grandchildren (Noah, Isabelle, Ian, Isac, Breck, and Rainier).
