Rebecca Sheck Zeigler, 74, of St. Matthews, SC, formerly of Orangeburg and Lexington SC, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 9th, 2024.  She is survived by her two sons, William Zeigler (Emily) and Christopher Zeigler (Emma), and brother, Robert S. Sheck.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 15th at the First Baptist Church of St. Matthews.

Rebecca was born in Orangeburg, SC on April 2, 1950 to parents Gwendolyn and Charles Sheck.  She graduated from Wade Hampton Academy and attended the University of South Carolina.  Rebecca was married to James "Jimmy" Zeigler and was an accountant for over 40 years.  In retirement, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. Rebecca was a kind, loving mother and sister.  An animal lover, she is also survived by her dog, Bitsy, and cat, Sheldon.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Gwendolyn and Charles Sheck, as well as her husband.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Pet Helpers, Charleston Animal Society, or the charity of one's choosing.
