Rebecca (Becky) Louise Bohn, 71, most recently of Charleston, SC, passed away on April 25, 2025. She was born January 3, 1954 in Needles, CA to Muriel Bohn Mistick and William Clifford Bohn.

Becky is survived by her husband, Ned Riddile, of 47 years (together 57 years if you start at the beginning when they were 9th grade sweethearts); her children, Kate Riddile (with her husband, Nick Witte) and Andy Riddile (with his wife, Amanda); her six grandchildren, Caleb, Silas, and Ezra (Kate) and Grace, Nora, and Miles (Andy); her sister, Michal Bohn; her cousin, Valerie (with husband, Chris); and her nieces and nephews, Ame, Sara, Jordan, Riley, and Clayton and Hannah.

Becky is preceded in death by her father, Bill; her mother, Muriel; her uncle, Morris; her aunt, BJ; her cousin, Jessica; and her sister-in-law, Kris.

Born in the desert of Needles, CA, Becky grew up in Burgettstown, PA, where she loved playing in the woods and mucking about in the creek as a child, and where she met her soulmate, Ned, as a high school freshman. She attended Allegheny College where she majored in Studio Art, creating beautiful prints and participating in an archeological dig in Israel. After college, Becky moved to Alexandria, VA to be with Ned, where they put down roots, raising two children, Kate and Andy.

Becky worked for USAirways before becoming one of the first female firefighters in Alexandria, eventually returning to school to earn a Master of Library Science. As a librarian, Becky worked in elementary schools until her retirement, passing along her passion for reading and transforming her libraries into places of inspiration for children. She was a devoted mother, leading a girl scout troop, running a Junior Great Books Club, attending so very many sporting events, drawing peacefully at the dining table after dinner with Kate and Andy, and always always reading. In her retirement, she and Ned moved to Charleston, SC living right across the street from Kate, Nick, Caleb, Silas, and Ezra, creating the little family compound she had always wanted.

Becky was a deeply feeling, fiercely loving, fearless liver of life. There was nothing she wouldn't do for those she loved, and often for those she didn't even know. Her superpower was empathy and connection, and she shone her love out to the world like a beacon. She was a gifted artist - creating, noticing, and celebrating beauty in all of its forms. Her big, beautiful heart filled ours with everything good in this world and the depths of the loss we feel knows no bounds.

A private celebration of life will be held following a green burial.
