Pauline Slawuta was born in Newark, New Jersey, Jan 8 1940. She has two younger sisters, Victoria Fowler and Carol Ruttenburg. She married Paul Donnelly of Awendaw SC, in Newark NJ in 1957. Paul was in the Coast Guard, stationed in Cape May NJ. Her first son Steven was born in Aug 1958, second son James was born June 1962. They lived in Lake Hiawatha NJ. She was a stay at home mother raising her two sons.

Pauline and Paul divorced in 1972. After which she worked various clerical positions, eventually working for Exxon Chemical Co. During her time with Exxon she met Vincent Califano and they married in the summer of 1977. She retired in April 1996 remaining in NJ until 1999, when they moved to Cape Coral Fl. Vince passed away in July 2014.

In 2018 Pauline moved to Summit Place on Daniel Island SC. She then moved to Sweet Grass, now Oaks of Mt Pleasant on Anna Knapp Blvd. in December 2019. She passed away on Sept 1 2023.

Pauline is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Francis, and her sister Carol. She is survived by her sister Vicky, son Steve and wife Celeste, son Jim. Grandchildren Courtney and husband Tyler, James and his wife Ashley, Erin, Sean, Shane, Cole. Great grandchildren Tucker and Tate. Nephews Walter Bilous, Michael Fowler and nieces Stephanie Richards and husband Eric, and Kathy Fowler. Grand niece Alexis and grand nephew Kyle.

Pauline will be cremated at Charleston Cremation Center & Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, McCants Drive, Mt Pleasant SC on Wed, Sept 6 at 1:30 pm.
