Margaret "Peggy" Ellen (Fyler) Dannenberg, age 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born on January 4, 1949, in Somerville, Massachusetts, raised in Boston, Mass., and was a longtime resident of Yorktown, VA, before moving to Mount Pleasant, SC in 2023.

After serving in the United States Army, Peggy dedicated 28 years as a civil servant at Ft. Eustis Army Hospital in Newport News, VA as an Oral Surgery Assistant, where she was known for her compassion, reliability, integrity, mentoring and strong work ethic. Peggy would also volunteer her time every year to assist the elderly prepare, file and submit their taxes at the York County Library. In Peggy's younger years she enjoyed horseback riding and skiing with family and friends as a member of the Peninsula Ski Club. Peggy was also actively involved in her church at Northside Christian Church in York County. Peggy also enjoyed meeting friends and having coffee after a silver sneakers workout at the local YMCA. She had a huge heart for animals from the time she was a little girl bringing home hurt animals to nurse back to health to adopting rescue dogs and cats as an adult.

Peggy's bright, beautiful, infectious smile would brighten up any room and put everyone at ease, even in her final days of battling cancer. Peggy will be remembered most as a devoted mother and grandmother whose warmth, strength, kindness, and gentleness has made a lasting impact on her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving parents George H. Fyler and Thelma E. (Russell) Fyler, her treasured sister Patricia (Fyler) Brand and sweet sister-in-law Evelyn Fyler.

Peggy is survived by her loving children, Pamela Robnett (Steve), and Art Livermore (Miranda); her cherished grandchildren, Noah and Logan Robnett, Claire, Victoria, Amelia, Arthur, Russell and Theodore Livermore; adoring brother the Rev. George H. Fyler Jr.; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Paul, Donald and Charles Brand, Cheryl DiPietro, Peggy Goodwin, Brenda Manning and Rebekah McClain; precious great nieces and great nephews; and other family and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to Kimberly Hill of Senior Helpers and the Lowcountry Community Hospice House for their exceptional care and compassion in ensuring her comfort during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local ASPCA or Cancer Foundation.

A celebration of life will take place at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Northside Christian Church in York County with a burial to follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens
