Summerville
Lula Mae Broadway, 78, of Liddieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lula Mae was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and woman of faith. She leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Harry Dewayne Broadway and Kanyetta Broadway Jefferson (Delvin) and her four beloved grandchildren, Tyrenie Nichole, Kennedy Elise, Skyla Danielle, and Cameron Dewayne. She also leaves behind a host of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.
Lula Mae dedicated 30 years of her life to General Motors, where she faithfully served until her retirement. After retiring, she relocated to South Carolina, carrying with her the love, faith, and values that remained at the heart of her life.
Lula Mae found joy in the simple things that brought people together. She loved cooking and baking, and her family will always remember the love she shared through the meals and treats she prepared. Above all, Lula Mae cherished reading the Word of God. Her faith was an important part of who she was and guided her throughout her life.
She was a faithful member of Faith Harvest Baptist Church, where she served as a trustee under the leadership of Pastor James Earl Jackson, Sr., of Monroe, Louisiana. Through her service, faithfulness, and devotion, Lula Mae was a blessing to her church family and community.
Lula Mae’s life was a testament to love, faith, family, hard work, and service. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of faith and love will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Arrangements and service details will be announced by the family.
