LaTrelle was born on April 24, 1936 to her parents Ben Levy Helmuth and Effie Callaway Helmuth. She was the youngest daughter of eight children. LaTrelle overcame so many hardships along life's journey. She was a strong woman of Faith and loved God above all else. She was loved by many and left a lasting impact on so many lives. She was a retired teacher and guidance counselor for Berkeley County School District. She spent most of her teaching and counseling years in her community at Howe Hall Elementary and Sedgefield Intermediate Schools. She is survived by her daughter Celste Wegner, son-in-law Shawn Wegner, two grandsons who have been her world from the day they were born Samuel Wegner and Matthew Wegner all of Goose Creek, SC, several nieces and nephews, and many adopted children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Dordy Todd of Tattnall County GA, mother Effie Helmuth, father Ben Levy Helmuth, brothers - Edwin, Ben, Lowell, & Jackie, sisters - Oldin, Anita, & Elizabeth, a grandson Shawn "MacKenzie" Wegner and baby Wegner, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Seacoast Summerville 301 E 5th North street, Summerville, SC 29483 on Saturday July 16th @ 3PM
