Lanny Ted Kinsler Jr "Ted", 57, of Charleston South Carolina, passed away on October 1st, 2026.

Ted was born in Greenville, South Carolina on August 14th, 1969, a son of Lanny Ted Kinsler Sr and Diane Jordan.

Ted worked as a radio DJ and producer for many radio stations, most notably WROQ Rock 101 in Greenville, SC for several years. His radio career took him to several states including Nevada where he worked in Las Vegas and Birmingham Alabama. He enjoyed playing his acoustic guitar for family & friends, watching Carolina Gamecocks football and listening to all varieties of music. He was affectionately known by family and friends as "Smilin Ted" because of his contagious smile & positive attitude, despite whatever life threw at him.

Ted is survived by aunts Emma Cummings & Janice Reid, cousins Ashley and Dylan Hankins, cousin James Reid, special friends Ken Carson, Evans Byrd, and Jennifer Vail plus many other family and friends. Ted never met a stranger and was the type of guy who made friends wherever he went.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents Lanny and Diane Kinsler.

A celebration of Ted's life will be announced at a later date.
