Kenneth "Ken" Bryan Mixon, 58, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Ken was born in Columbia, SC, on July 29th, 1967, to Wilson and Alice W. Mixon.

Ken enjoyed cooking and experimenting with his favorite dishes. He loved bold flavors and testing his tolerance for heat. He also loved playing the guitar, magic tricks, cars, fishing, building, and pitbulls. His favorite was learning new songs to play and connecting through music and magic with his grandchildren. He was a true salesman at heart; he could sell ice to an eskimo and could talk to anyone. He was a loving father and grandfather. Ken's passing was unexpected, and while we are completely heartbroken, we find peace in knowing he didn't suffer in his last moments.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Mixon; his mother, Alice Mixon; and his brother, Kevin Mixon.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Taylor Kotula and Aimee Harper, Kaitlyn Mixon, Olivia Mixon; son, Brian Mixon; and his grandchildren, Wesley Kotula, Katherine Kotula, Caleb Kotula, Grayson Harper, Jayce Harper, and Tripp Chaffin. Also surviving are his sister, Tracy LaRose; nieces, Lindsay LaRose-Albert, Kelly Rivera, Laura LaRose, Tanya Mixon, Grace Mixon, and Danica Mixon; and his nephew, Luke Mixon.
