Our dear mother, Joyce E. Barnes, formerly Dabrowski, Blunt, sadly passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023 at the age of 77, after a long battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis after having survived two rounds of breast cancer over many decades. She was surrounded and comforted by loved ones in her final days.

She was a wonderful, devoted mother, grandmother, mother in law, sister and friend and will be terribly missed.

She was predeceased by her ex husband and father of her children, Forrest D. Blunt, both her mother and father, Eleanor and Charles Dabrowski and her husband William E. Barnes. She is survived by her three beloved children, Donna Blunt (Walter Foley), Donald Blunt (Lisa), and Deborah Thomas (Kevin), her cherished grandchildren: Tyler B., Caitlin and Ashley T., Walter and William F., Ava B, and Wyatt F. as well as her cherished sisters, Arlene McIver and Christine Cuggino (Joseph) and brother Charles Dabrowski. In addition she is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her furry companion, Jasmine, who was always by her side and provided such comfort and joy over the last four years.

Our Mom will be remembered for her true love of life. She lived her life to the fullest. Up until recent years you'd find her on her boat on Newfound Lake, New Hampshire - even behind on the tube or at her home in Delray Beach, Florida enjoying the ocean. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for family/friends, theater and traveling.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations could be made in her name to either the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
