Josiah Campbell Brabham 87 of Charleston, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2024.

He was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late James Charles Brabham, M.D, and Frances Campbell Brabham, R.N.  After the passing of his parents, he and his late sister, Mary Brabham Cummins, went to live with their grandmother in Bamberg.  He attended Carlisle Military School and served as the Battalion Commander his Senior year.  After graduating he served in the Army, and worked for the FBI and Army Map Service, where he met his wife, the late Ethel Wood Brabham.  Shortly after marriage, they moved to Atlanta, where both earned their LL.B. degrees from Atlanta Law School.  After Law School, he and his wife moved to Charleston, where he worked for the USDA as Regional Director until his retirement.

He enjoyed Disney World, camping, wood working, boating, fishing, working on cars, and morning coffee with his friends.

He is survived by Cynthia Hancock, Janet Baker, Ann Willis (Jeff), Bill DeNauro (Beth), Barbara Michel (Jay), Tom Kelley (Lisa), Mary Gates (Bobby), J. Hal Cummins, and several great nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC on Wednesday, April 3, from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.

A graveside service will be held at Mizpah Methodist Church, Olar, SC to be announced at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Mizpah Methodist Church.
