John "Cy" Perry Jr. of Wando (Charleston), SC passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022, at Roper ST. Francis Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, SC. John was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi and John Perry Sr. He leaves behind his beloved wife Annette Salmon; 2 daughters: Gina Perry and Emily Perry; 5 grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas, Hayleigh, Eben, and Perry; 1 great grandchild Mahayla; 5 siblings: Bonnie Reynolds; Patricia Perry-Dresch (Tom); Toni Lashway (Wayne); Frank Perry (Mary); and Eva Hyatt (Steve); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

John was born in Martinsburg, WV on March 9, 1942. He never lost his love for WV and all his Mother's Taylor Family. He grew up in Lyons, NY where he was surrounded by the love of his Perry Family and friends.

John studied English, Drama and Philosophy at USNA; UNE; ECU; USC. He retired as a Writer, Educational Consultant and Speaker. In later years, John pursued his love of acting, golfing (instructor, salesman, player), honing his skills as an excellent marksman (Member ATP Guns and Range) and most importantly to John, continuing his devotion to the Catholic Church in charities, prayer groups and as a church lector.

Burial plans are being finalized with Saint Benedict Columbarium and Prayer Garden, Mt. Pleasant, SC.
