Joel Francis Austin, age 88, passed away March 20,2023 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was born to John and Kathryn Conrad Austin. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kay Fink (Eddie), and brother Jack(Jackie).

He is survived by his loving wife Tysa, many family members, and friends.

Joel attended and graduated from Ohio State University in 1955. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He worked for Nestle USA for over 25 years where he was a sales manager. Joel retired in 1997 while living in Overland Park, Kansas.

He was proud of his military service, as part of Marine Reconnaissance.

Joel will be remembered for his quick wit, his fashion sense and love of animals and babies.

A celebration of his life will be held later this year.
