Jerome (Jerry) D. Shnipes, age 79 passed away June 27th 2024 in Mount Pleasant South Carolina surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born October 17th, 1944 in Peckville Pennsylvanian to Donald and Alice (Banovich) Shnipes.

Jerry graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield Connecticut class of 1962.  Jerry was a standout football player and co-captain for the Ludlowe Tigers where they were undefeated and brought home a state championship win in 1961.  He also was a graduate from the US Merchant Marine Academy in 1966.  He received a degree in mechanical engineering and spent his tenure working for various engineering firms throughout the country until he retired at age 67 in Summerville South Carolina.  On Jerry's spare time he enjoyed coaching his daughters softball team and his sons baseball team.  He was an avid sports fan and loved passing on his love of sport to his children.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Bonnie ( Morrissey ) married for 58 but together
since 16, his three children, daughters Kimberly (Jim) Westfall from Lawrenceville Georgia, Sharon (Paul) Ceglia from Summerville South Carolina and his son David from Stratford Connecticut; his sister Carol (Larry) Deer and brother Donald (Noreen) Shnipes; his five grandchildren Hannah, Hayley, Colton. Lauren, Ryan and his four great grandchildren Jameson, Chase, Charlotte and Harper.

He was predeceased in death by his parents Alice and Donald Shnipes and his sister Irene and brother-in-law Ronald Nagy.
