Jay Brian Nagy, age 81, of Isle of Palms, SC, passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2025.

Jay was born in Norwalk, CT, on June 29, 1944, to Joseph and Helen Nagy.

Jay owned his own automotive machine shop, Street N Strip, for almost 60 years. He enjoyed years of racing on the strip or the street and offshore/inshore fishing. He also enjoyed his hydroponics in pursuit of the "Hottest Pepper".

Jay is survived by his wife, Sonja; children, Bart, Dawn, and Marla (Allen); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Charleston Animal Society for his love and support of all animals.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Charleston Cremation Center. Funeral arrangements will be privately held.
