Janet Carol Nourse 76, of Charleston South Carolina, formally of Yorkshire, NY peacefully passed away on February 25th in her home with her children by her side.

Janet was born on March 17, 1947, daughter of the late Verno and Clara Nourse of Delevan, New York.

Janet was a retired Registered Nurse who had a passion for caring for others. Janet was a much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a passionate, kind, and fun-loving woman who lit up every room she entered with her smile and signature red lipstick. Janet enjoyed music, dancing, great food, johnnie walker black, reading, sports (especially Bills, Yankees, Sooners, and Tiger), and long days at the beach where she created memories that her children and grandchildren will treasure forever.

Janet is survived by her three children, Kristen, Kimberly (Tim), and Kevin (Jodi); her three grandchildren, Zachary, Paige, and Tyler of whom she adored; sisters, Judy (late Paul) and Joan (Jerry); and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra (Dean) and Barbara (Aubrey).

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Lutheran Hospice for your compassion and support in mom's final days.

A Celebration of life will be held in Folly Beach, SC at a later date, and a memorial bench will be placed in her honor in the Delevan Cemetery.
