James Garrett, 71, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on November 24, 2024.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sonrise Christian Church, 925 St James Ave, Summerville, SC 29486.

James was born in High Point, North Carolina on December 11, 1952 to Claude and Velva Garrett.

James worked as a self employed drywall contractor for the majority of his life and mentored several young men on this trade. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family, and attending church with close friends.

James was preceded in death by his mother and father, Velva and Claude Garrett; his three brothers, Harold, Vernon, and Charlie; two sisters, Betty and Linda; his son, James Lee Garrett; and grandson, Jesse Feagin.

James is survived by his spouse, Cathy; daughter, Chastity Garrett; son, Bradley; his grandchildren, Anela, Jayden, Travis, and Zachary; sisters, Rama, Ruth, and Jeanette; his brother, Glenn; and several nieces and nephews.
