Obituary

Thank you to everyone that has reached out, lifted prayers, or brought food; we are so humbled by your kindness during this incredibly difficult time.

Every day is a new opportunity to choose joy, despite sorrow. Ian brought so much joy to everyone around him. Leave your sadness at the door, rather bring your stories, laughs, and happiness Ian brought to your life.

" But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes, we are healed."

– Isaiah 53:5

Ian Macgregor Tabor, 26, of Moncks Corner, SC passed away on July 30, 2022. Ian is survived by his Mother Shannan Tabor, Father Sean Tabor Sr, and Bonus Mom Tonja Tabor. Along with his siblings Britney Powell, Sean Tabor, Ashleigh Peters, Brenton Tabor, bonus siblings Tarrin Evans and Clayton Evans, and Brother-in-laws Brandon Peters and Keith Powell. Ian also left behind his 3 nieces and 4 nephews who he adored; his grandparents Marita Tabor,  Andrea, and Norman Dean, uncle Derek Towe and cousins Cannon and Destinie Towe.

Ian found his serenity while on the water. Whether it be freshwater or saltwater he was at peace most with a line in the water. Ian was a dreamer at heart and loved his family to the full extent. Though he is painfully missed by his family, we are at peace knowing Ian is in paradise with our heavenly Father where we all look forward to seeing him again. Though we mourn we rejoice to know that Ian is free and dancing in heaven.

Don't grieve for me, for now, I'm free

I'm following the path God has chosen for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day

to laugh, to love, to work, or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way

I've now found peace at the end of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joys.

A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss

Oh yes, these things I too will miss

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

Look for the sunshine of tomorrow

My life's been full, I savored much.

Good friends, good times, and a loved one's touch

Perhaps my time seems all too brief

Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and peace to thee,

God wanted me now, he has set me free.
