Born February 26,1933 to Ethel and Henry Smalls Sr. In April of 1952 Henry married the love of his life Dorothy Mae Johnson. They moved to Charleston Sc where together they started a family. On July 5, 1969, at an international convention in Atlanta Georgia, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He made it a priority to teach others about Jehovah and his kingdom. He also served as a ministerial servant and an account servant in the central congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He also had the privilege of hosting a congregation Bible study in his home for many years.

He was proceeded in death by his devoted wife of 64 years Dorothy Smalls. He is survived by his aunts Jaunita Robison, Mary Little, Christina Bennett, Shirley Evans, Alberna Bennett, Anniemae Bennett.

His children Dorothy (Julius) Cummings, Jacquelyn (Anthony) Gordon, Samuel (Wanda) Smalls, Pamela (Ron) Smith, Deborah (Michael)Twitty, Audrey Smalls, Melvena (Harry) Bannister, Henry Smalls, Cheryl (Jeffrey)Tolbert, Jerome (Danielle) Smalls, Karen (Clay) Howard.

He will also be missed by over 20 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
