Greg, 79, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Husband of Kay Geiger Shealy. They were married May 7, 1967 after they had a blind date.
Greg was born December 27, 1946 in Charleston, SC to Gordon Roland and Leila Smith Shealy.
Greg graduated from St. Andrews High School and Trident Technical College and retired as a Mechanical Engineering Technician at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He received awards for his work.
Greg previously worked in the Construction Engineering Department at the SC Highway Department. He was a SC High School Basketball Official and eventually became the director for his district. Greg was also a Life Member of the Elks Lodge 242 and served with the SC National Guard. He was also a volunteer football coach at St. Andrews Playground.
Greg loved to fish and shrimp and to grow vegetables in his gardens. He was a fan of the USC Gamecocks and NASCAR. Greg was always working on something.
He is survived by wife and Son, Torry K. Shealy,
Sister, Susan S. Feldman, Sister-n-laws, Linda H. Shealy, Bernice Martin (Ralph), 4 nephews Kevin Shealy (Stacey), Cary Shealy (Laurin), Roland Feldman (Annaka) and Michael Feldman and their children and one niece, Ashley Martin, Goddaughter, Meg Capps and Godson, Al Seel, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceded by his parents, Gordon Shealy and Leila Smith Shealy and his brother, Gary R. Shealy.
Greg Shealy will be cremated and his ashes scattered at a later date. A Celebration of Life, Greg's Party will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, 4pm – 8pm at the West Ashley Outboard Motor Club, 3450 McLeod Mill Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.
