Gordon "Buster" McCaleb, a man known for his profound passion for science, music, and endless care for others, passed away on November 27th, 2024 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was 66 years old.

Gordon was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4th, 1958 to Gordon and Jaqueline McCaleb. He grew up in Chester County Pennsylvania. His lifelong work as a HVAC mechanic started at a young age, reflecting his innate ability at problem solving and hard work. This emanated throughout the rest of his life in the things he built for his community and family.

Although he was dedicated to his work, he was a lot more than that. Throughout his life, he could be found playing acoustic guitar, renovating houses, riding motorcycles, walking his dogs, scuba diving at the beach, and woodworking in his garage. His enthusiasm for his passions was contagious, and music was always close to his heart.

Gordon is preceded in death by his father, Gordon McCaleb, and wife, Laura "Nikki" Hodges McCaleb. He is survived by his children, Colin and Tess; sisters, Rosemary and Teresa; his niece, Michelle; and mother, Jaqueline.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Gibson Foundation. In doing so, his legacy of sharing music with the world will live on.

Gordon's life will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and curiosity.
