Obituary

Giuseppe (Joseph) Angrisano, age 76, of Napoli, Italy passed away in his wife's arms on March 1, 2024, in Charleston, SC. He was born on July 18, 1947 in Naples, Italy, son of the late Antonio and Anna (Riccio) Angrisano.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne (Roseanna); his only daughter, Fabiana; son in law, William Elek; and his three precious grandchildren, Liliana Beatrix, Kai Joseph, and Crew William. He also leaves behind two sisters, Titiana Canfora (Enzo), Anna Angrisano, and the late Maria Fruttaldo, along with numerous nieces and nephews from Connecticut and Italy who loved and cherished him.

Married to his wife for over 47 years, the two spent most of their early years traveling the world together. They later settled in Westport, Connecticut where they resided for over 25 years, raising their daughter.

Joseph was a man of many different coats. An international man of mystery. A persuasive salesman. A restauranteer. An entrepreneur. A mechanic. A natural chef. An avid dreamer, a professional card player.  But most of all, he was a gentile, sweet, and sensitive man with a massive heart that he extended to everyone he knew and had a smile that lit up the room.

The joy in his life came from his only daughter, Fabiana. His unwavering devotion and love for his daughter consumed his world. In 2021, he and his wife retired and moved to Charleston to help her care for her children. His role as Grampa was the most rewarding part of his life. He was an incredible caregiver to his grandsons and granddaughter, and they treasured their donuts with Grampa time. He loved taking pictures of his family and sharing them with his world on Facebook. He treated his granddaughter like a queen and reveled in the miracle of his twin grandsons. His legacy lives on through them and in the cherished memories they all shared together.

In the upcoming months, the family will travel together to bring him back to his home in Italy for his funeral service. His remains will come to their final rest with his parents and sister in their family mausoleum.
