Frederick George Rogers, 96 years old, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully on May 21st 2026 at home.
Frederick was born in London, England on July 9th, 1929 to William Henry Rogers and Violet Rosetta Elizabeth (Bacon) Rogers.
Fred served as a medic in England in the Royal Navy which started a lifelong fascination with the human body and all things medical.
Fred travelled the world as head of the International Service Division for Burroughs/Unisys Corporation until his retirement in 1988. Fred and his wife, Josie, retired to Naples, Florida where he served the Naples Civic Association as well as serving on his Berkshire Lakes HOA for many years. After caring for his beloved wife Josie at home after she sustained a severe stroke, he went on to work for Hospice of Naples helping many Hospice patients get their affairs in order as well as constructing needed wheelchair ramps. Fred was also a huge opera afficionado, loved to read and was a life long learner. After selling his house in Florida in 2015, he relocated to Mount Pleasant, SC to be closer to his two children, Adam and Hollie.
Fred was preceded in death by his son, Jason Nicholas, his wife Josie Delores and his daughter Hollie Alexandra.
Fred is survived by his son Adam Rosslyn Rogers, his daughter in-law Kristin Marie Rogers, and grandchildren Julia Coe Saunders, Morgan Elizabeth (Thomas) Bonnette, Nicholas Sheldon Rogers, Christopher Lee Thomas and Trinity Marie Rogers and great grandchild Kirkland Bonnette.
Fred was loved by all the staff at the First Watch restaurant in Mount Pleasant, SC as he dined there almost daily for lunch. He was known for his positive attitude and generosity. Fred enjoyed a long life, well lived.
