Faye Carol Sullivan passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from cancer. Faye was born on August 15,1942, in Martinsville, Virginia. Faye was the daughter of Edna and Leonard Garrett of Martinsville, Virginia.

Faye graduated from Martinsville High School in 1961. Faye attended and graduated with a BFA, and MFA in Art. Faye's love of art led her to become an art teacher. Faye taught for 41 years, 39 of which were in Framingham, Massachusetts School system.

Faye leaves her husband Michael of 55 years and her son Shaun of Beaufort, SC. She also leaves her sister Lynn Garrett of Martinsville, Virginia. Faye also leaves her daughter in law Patricia Sullivan of Beaufort, South Carolina. Faye was the grandmother of four grandchildren, Brittany Anderson, wife of Travis Anderson of West Ashley, SC. James Patrick Sullivan of Mount Pleasant, SC. Sam Sullivan of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Collin Sullivan of Beaufort, SC. Faye was also great grandmother to Finn Anderson of West Ashley, SC, and Lennon Anderson of West Ashley, SC.

Faye and Michael retired in 2003 to Mount Pleasant, SC. Faye was an accomplished and longtime member of the Charleston Artist Guild. Faye loved painting with her friends, and felt very blessed to have so many friends who shared in her love of art.

When Faye moved to the low country, she was inspired by the beauty that surrounded her. She decided that her focus as an artist should be Seascapes and Marsh scenes. Faye has won numerous awards and her work is displayed in homes and offices throughout the country and abroad.

Faye will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She had an infectious smile that lit up a room. Faye never met a stranger and treated everyone with respect and kindness. Faye was truly an inspiration to many people that encountered her in their travels.

There will be a private family celebration of Faye's life at her place of residence in the coming weeks.
