Elizabeth Susan Prater passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2026, at her home in Charleston, South Carolina.

Born on December 20 in Barstow, California, to Frances Taylor, Elizabeth was the youngest of four siblings. She shared a lifelong bond with her mother, sisters, and brother.

Above all else, she was a devoted mother and a deeply loving grandmother. Her daughter, Reagan Paiva, was her greatest pride, and her two grandchildren were the light of her life. Loving them came naturally to her. They brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment with them.

She is survived by her mother, her two sisters, her brother, her daughter, and her two beloved grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Though there won't be a formal service, please take the time to think about a cherished memory and honor her in your own way.
