Eleanor Jean
Feagin
Mar 27, 1942 — Feb 12, 2026
Eleanor Jean Feagin (Thames), 83, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026.
Born on March 27, 1942, in Manning, South Carolina, Eleanor was raised in Manning and later spent much of her life between Manning and Charleston, South Carolina. She lived a life defined by resilience, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
Eleanor was married to Lanier Feagin and was the proud mother of three children: Shara, Thomas, and Dana. She was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Nothing brought her greater joy than her family. She made it a point to remind her grandchildren that she loved them, often ending phone calls with sweet kissing sounds that became a signature expression of her affection.
Throughout her life, Eleanor worked in several fields including law enforcement, real estate, modeling, and cosmetology. She was a woman of versatility and determination — capable, independent, and unafraid of hard work. She enjoyed watching her Pastors, Westerns, and detective shows, and always appreciated getting her hair and nails done — a small pleasure that brought her happiness. She was loving, fierce, and a strong woman whose pride in her family, especially her children, was evident to all who knew her.
Eleanor's legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
