With tremendous sadness the family of Diane Niess Taylor announces her passing on May 19, 2022. Diane was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 28th, 1957. Prior to settling in Charleston, SC, her family lived in PA, CA, Ireland and IL. Diane worked at the Charleston International Airport managing the Gift Shops, Restaurants as well as Food & Beverage. After leaving the Airport she focused on her family. She was a Giving Tree to her husband, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, always putting them above all else. Her joy was in knitting, beading and cooking. Her love was sharing the many beautiful crafts she created & dishes with family, friends and acquaintances.
Her favorite sayings:
1) In a World where you can be anything, Be Kind.
2) Beautiful enough for me.
She was Beautiful enough for us with her selfless giving and will be remembered as Princess Di The Giving Tree.
Diane is survived by her stepchildren, Mark Taylor (Sonya), Lee Taylor (Millicent) (Carrie earlier divorced); grandchildren, Cayla Taylor, Carlee Taylor, Owen Taylor and Jordon Taylor. She is also survived by sisters, Linda Joseph (Jim), Barbara Paulausky (Dan), Lisa Niess Currie; brother, Richard Niess along with nephews & nieces, Marty Joseph, Julie McCoy, Christina Paulausky, Leah Tomaino, Rebecca Cingolani, Keith Currie, Erik Currie and long time friend, Robin Currie, and many other cherished family members and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor; parents, Martin Niess & Julie Niess; and nephew, Cristopher Joseph.
