David Keith Tiedemann, 55, of Cassatt, South Carolina, passed away May 23, 2023 after an illness at MUSC in Charleston. He was surrounded by family who loved him dearly. David was born in Kinston, North Carolina on January 1, 1968, a son of Adolph Tiedemann and Margaret Kennedy Tiedemann. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his beloved Grandma Sarah, his Uncle Lester and Aunt Hazel, his brother-in-law Thomas Orlando, his grandson David Lee Tiedemann, and his special Pembroke Welsh Corgi "Ginger." He is survived by his wife Kimberly E. Tiedemann of the home; daughter Courtney Howard of Houston, Texas; son Robert L. (Brandy) Tiedemann of Rogue River, Oregon; and son Thomas J. (Katie) Tiedemann of Camden. David leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Daryl Howard, Kali Howard, Jayden Dubose, Whitt Tiedemann, Analeigh Tiedemann, Margaret Tiedemann, and Augustus Tiedemann. David is also survived by Terri Kilby Tiedemann, his first wife and the mother of his two sons, and her mother Becky Kilby. Surviving siblings include sisters Tina Shelton, Donna (Joe) Garner, Wanda (BL) Raynor, and Diane Orlando, as well as four nieces and three nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

David enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, learning about rebuilding classic cars, attending movies and concerts, and watching NASCAR and wrestling. David was a graduate of Battery Creek High School and began his lifelong career in retail while still in high school. David was a skilled retail manager, managing locations for Bi-Lo, Reid's, and Publix grocery stores for over thirty years. In recent years, he combined his skills in retail management and his love for animals to manage the Petsense store owned by Tractor Supply in Camden, SC where he was loved and will be missed by his co-workers and the community of Camden.

David enjoyed the home he shared in the country with his wife of 23 years. His favorite plants, such as hydrangea bushes and dwarf magnolia shrubs, would be appreciated for planting in his memory in their yard in lieu of cut flowers.
