Daniel G. Schulken, 74, loving husband of Martha Berry Schulken (Marty), entered into eternal rest on January 29, 2024.

Daniel was born May 27, 1949, to the late Frank and Shirley Schulken.

He was a Charleston Fireman until he retired after 33 years as a captain. Daniel was a commercial sign maker who specialized in hand lettering, gold leaf, and silk-screening. He loved different types of martial arts of which he had 9 black belts.

He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

He is survived by his wife; 3 children, Danny of Goose Creek, SC, Katie of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Nikki of Columbia, SC; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth of Mt. Pleasant, Lee and Ellie of Goose Creek, and Max of Columbia; 1 great-grandchild, Ava Thorne of Mt. Pleasant; and his sister, Katherine Oakley of Summerton, SC.

His Celebration of Life will be held at Hibben UMC, 690 Coleman Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Arrangements made by Charleston Cremation Center.
