Daniel Kenneth Sawyer

Daniel Kenneth Sawyer, 39, of North Charleston, SC died Friday, August, 4th at the Trident Trauma Hospital.  Danny was born in Buffalo, NY on October 28 1983.

Danny grew up in Southbury, CT and attended Pomperaug High School.  He then worked various sales, manufacturing and maintenance/contractor jobs until he decided to form his own company, Sawyer Design and Restoration, in Charleston.  Danny also loved going to flea markets to find vintage items to restore or repurpose.  He was a very talented carpenter and artist.  He loved music, especially grunge and rock from the '90's and comedy of all kinds.

Most of all, Danny loved his family, especially his fiancé, Candice Walker, of North Charleston, and his children, Stella Sawyer, Aeden Sawyer, Dylan Sawyer and his step son Geno Bowers.  He particularly loved his meme, Betty Cyr of Danbury, CT and his aunt JoAnn Rejcha, of Roxbury, CT, who was like a second mom to him. He is survived by his parents, Daniel R. Sawyer and Barbara Cyr-Sawyer of Southbury, CT and his two sisters, Rachel Carafiello of Middlebury, CT and Erin Sawyer of Jacksonville, FL.  He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.

A celebration of his life will be held on August 30, 2023 from 4-8PM at Bevy Co. on Poverty Rd in Southbury, CT.
