Daniel Thomas (Tommy) Biering, Sr., 83, passed away on July 26, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Charleston Cremation Center and Funeral Home located at 2054 Wambaw Creek Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29492.

Mr. Biering was born to Edward and Mary Biering on September 17, 1938, in North Charleston, SC. He later relocated to John's Island where he graduated from St. John's High School in 1957. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and later retired from Thompson Construction Group after a long career in the metal working and welding industry.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary L. Biering; three children, Michele (Ricky) Anderson, Shannon (Tim) Huey, and Daniel Biering, Jr.; three siblings, Henry E. Biering, Sally McGrew, and Harry Biering; six grandchildren, Bradley, CJ, Zachary, Taylor, Ella, and Arlyn; and two great grandchildren, Emarie and Ellarie.

In his younger years, he was well known for his musical abilities and later in life he was an avid gardener. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
