Celebrating the Life of Craig Anthony Wilson

June 4, 1991 – May 17, 2025

With full hearts and countless memories, we celebrate the life of Craig Anthony Wilson, a kind, adventurous soul who left this world on May 17, 2025, at age 33.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Craig grew up in nearby Haughton, later living in Colorado and South Carolina—always chasing new experiences, new places, and meaningful connections. He lived for the open road, the sound of good music, the pull of the ocean, and the quiet peace of the mountains. Whether he was kayaking, building fires under the stars, fishing, hiking, or hitting a concert with friends, Craig made the most of every moment.

Craig was the definition of loyal. He didn't just show up for the big things—he showed up for everything. He had a quiet strength and a heart that gave freely. If you needed help, he was already on his way. He wasn't loud, but he loved deeply, and if you were in his circle, you knew it.

He had an ear for music and a passion for crafting the perfect playlist—mixing everything from hip-hop to reggae to country and beyond. He made mixtapes as a kid, and later, his friends knew when Craig was on the aux, the energy was going to be just right.

He was endlessly curious—working across the trades and soaking up every skill he could. From plumbing to building to fixing, he wasn't afraid to try. He was always learning, always doing, always figuring it out—because that's who he was.

Above all, Craig loved his family. He was a fun-loving, hands-on uncle to his niece and nephews—teaching them to boogie board, helping them learn to ice skate, and inspiring their sense of adventure. His presence was steady, his loyalty unwavering, and his heart wide open.

He is survived by his mother, Carina Wilson and partner Adam Hyde, and sister, Kimberly Vines and husband Kyle Vines, along with his three beloved sidekicks—Kiya, Kayden, and Koda. He's also deeply loved by his extended family:

Brenda and Ray Oca and their children Tattum, KC and Justin and wife Hannie; Edwin Ociones; Dona Ociones and her son Luigie; Doreen and Mitch Delo and their son Christian; He is survived by his stepmother, Rowena Wilson, and half-brothers Walter Oliver Wilson and John Armendi; and many more cousins, aunts, uncles, and lifelong friends who became family.

Craig was welcomed into eternity by his father, Walter Craig Wilson and grandfather, Loreto Ociones.

He dreamed of visiting the Philippines, a place rooted in his heritage and close to his heart. That dream will be honored later this year as his ashes are spread there with love, surrounded by family.


A Celebration of Life

We'll gather to celebrate Craig's incredible life on Sunday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m. at his mom's home—1868 Cherokee Rose Circle, Mount Pleasant, SC—a backyard filled with trees, deer, and peaceful firelight. It was one of Craig's favorite places to unwind and just be.

Expect good music, great food, stories, and connection—just the way Craig would've wanted it. At 7:45 p.m., we'll light candles as the sun sets. For those who can't be with us in person, we invite you to light a candle wherever you are and hold him in your heart.
