Colette Nifong Rawdon, 68, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7th surrounded by her loving family in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Born on October 17th 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Colette was the beloved daughter of Frances Back Nifong and Harry D. Nifong Jr. She graduated from Midwest City High School in Oklahoma and later attended Texas Christian University where she pursued her passion for foreign languages, focusing on French and German. Colette embarked on a successful career at Turbomeca, a helicopter engine manufacturer, starting as an administrative assistant and translator before rising to the role of Marketing Director, a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Colette and her soulmate, Greg Rawdon, were introduced to each other by the pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas in 1982. In 1983, after only six weeks of dating, Greg proposed to Colette, and they were married on June 2, 1984, marking the beginning of their wonderful life together.

Colette enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines from around the world. In her later years, she loved traveling across the country to see family and to spend time with friends and loved ones. In her free time, she was actively involved in following the NASDAQ, and S&P 500. On the weekends, Colette could be found rooting for her two favorite football teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the TCU Horned Frogs. May Colette's hunger for new experiences and devotion to family live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Colette was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Back Nifong and Harry D. Nifong Jr. Colette is survived by her devoted husband, Greg Rawdon; daughter, Megan Kramer; son-in-law, Jay Kramer; cherished grandson, Wyatt Kramer; and her cousins, Jake Back and Harvey Back.

Her final resting place will be at the Mepkin Abbey Columbarium in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, overlooking the serene banks of the Cooper River. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at the columbarium on Saturday, May 25th, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Colette's honor.
