Christopher Scott Murphy, 50, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away August 1, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.

Chris was born in Oxnard, CA on April 30, 1974 to Susan and Robert Murphy.

He worked as a Production Training Engineer at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation for several years. He enjoyed sailing, video games, cooking, and reading.

Chris is survived by his mother, Susan Birli; his brother and his sister-in-law, Keith and Emily Murphy; his nieces, Charlotte and Claire; and his nephews, Conor and Cedric, all in Michigan. He was also lived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
