Charles de Saussure Jett Sr. (Charlie), 83, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. passed away October 17, 2022.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Church Chapel 2725 Bulrush Basket Ln. Mt Pleasant, S.C. November 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

Charlie was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on November 17 1938, the youngest son of Estelle Cotton Harding and William Starke Jett II. Charlie was an NIS Agent until he retired at age 50. He then attended seminary and was ordained as a deacon in the Episcopal Church where he served in multiple diocese and churches.

Charlie is survived by his children Laurie A. Jones (Tim), Charles D. Jett Jr. (Jennifer), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, William Starke Jett III and Harriman Harding Jett and many other family and friends.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife Jane Adams Jett, sister Anne Jett Smith and his parents.

Funeral arrangements are by Charleston Cremation Center.
