Carole Ann Barbieri Parry, 82, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 19, 1942, to the late Agnes and Charles Barbieri, Carole was a proud Italian woman whose life was filled with passion, dedication, and love for her family and her craft.

Carole's journey in nursing began at the remarkable age of 16 when she became an LPN. Her dedication to helping others led her to continue her education, becoming a registered nurse and dedicating her entire career to nursing until her retirement. She cared deeply for her patients, always showing compassion, skill, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being.

Outside of her career, Carole was a true spitfire with a heart full of love. She was an extraordinary baker and cook, known for her delicious baked ziti and lasagna, which were family favorites and cherished traditions. Carole's creativity shone through her crocheting and the crafts she shared at fairs, and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to start multiple businesses focused on helping animals (especially dogs).

Carole is survived by her four children: Richard Lewis (Lori), Debra Heath, Paul Lewis (Sharon), and Kevin Lewis. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Cynthia Crow (Derek), Christina Wade, Charles Wade (Erin), Kimberly Thomason, Robert Wade, Ryan Kennedy, Victoria Snaukstas (William), Richard K. Lewis II, Marty Lewis, Rebekah Smith, Rachael Lewis, and Heather Lewis; the great-grandmother of 21 beautiful boys and girls; and the great-great-grandmother of one on the way. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Parry, with whom she is now joyfully reunited in heaven.

Carole's fiery spirit, kindness, and endless love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and Italian traditions will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A celebration of Carole's life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Augusta, Georgia.
