CAROL SUE MARDIS, age 85, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on 12/15/2024. She was born June 20, 1939, in Deering, Missouri.  She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Thelma Delacretaz, who raised her along with her two brothers - younger brother Don and older brother Jim - both deceased, she being the middle child.

Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in May 1956 at 16 years of age, she held a faithful course throughout her life.

Married 1958 to Henry Mardis (deceased) and between 1959-1966 had five children whom she raised nearly single-handedly: Debbie, Bill, Cathy, Donna, and Mike. Her children gave her the youthful joy of ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, whom she loved so very much. She was most known for her generous, loyal, and kindhearted nature throughout her life. She will be dearly missed.

She fell to sleep in death in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, having been cared for in the last decade of her life by one of her daughters and beloved son-in-law and with the help over the past four years of caring nurses, most notably Krystle Lee, Azam Parishani, and Antonio (Toni) Rivers. The family feels a debt of gratitude for the love and dignity they provided over these needful years.

Many thanks to her friends and her family for the caring words and love given her over the years, especially in the final, difficult years of her life. Her hope in Jehovah remained sure in the promise of a resurrection to life that will never end but have fulfillment as stated in Revelation 21:1-5 which brought her even more comfort in her final days.
