Carlos Sebastian Martinez, 26, of North Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was born on February 8, 2000, to Maria (Becky) Canales and Ignacio Martinez Jr. in Fond du Lac, WI. He was known for his infectious laugh, kindness, and ability to converse about everything and anything.

Carlos was a devoted father and found joy creating lifelong memories with his son, Lucian. He loved music… from creating his own beats, penning his own lyrics, to playing his guitar and keyboard. Music was his escape where his mind ran wild and lyrics ran free. When Carlos wasn't creating music magic, he would be gaming with his beloved great-uncle Raul, his brothers, and dad. In his downtime, Carlos loved reading and enjoyed a good conversation surrounding his latest book. If Carlos wasn't answering his phone, it was guaranteed he was gossiping with his mom for hours and hours.

Carlos is survived by his beloved son, Lucian, and Lucian's mom, Sarah Sutter; his parents, Ignacio Martinez Jr. and Becky (Jack McCormick) Canales; his brothers and their children, Mathew (Morgan) their children Weston and Maize of Markesan, WI, Ignacio his children Oliver and Raya of Fond du Lac, WI, and Esteban of Charleston, SC; his great-uncle, Raul Ortegon; beloved grandparents, Margarita and Willie Navarro of Fond du Lac WI; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Margarita Canales; his grandpa, Andres Canales Sr; and his grandpa, Ignacio Martinez Sr.

A celebration of life will be held on April 25, 2026, at The End Zone (507 N Main St Fond du Lac, WI 54935) from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations to Lucian Martinez be made out to Sarah Sutter.
