Brenda Joyce Brogdon Westerberg, born on May 1, 1950, in Mullins, South Carolina, passed away on August 12, 2025 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was 75 years old.

Brenda was the beloved daughter of Malcolm "Dutch" Brogdon and Edna Huggins Brogdon, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Neil Hilton.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Stephanie Westerberg-Harrelson (Steve) and Andrew Westerberg (Talonda), and by her cherished grandchildren Stephen Harrelson Jr, Kailyn Westerberg, Sophie Harrelson, Kayla Henderson, Kaitlin Henderson and Kayron Birch Jr. Brenda also leaves behind her devoted siblings Rena Brogdon Pieniadz (John), Kathy Brogdon Parenti, and Bubba Brogdon (Karen) and her nieces and nephews: Sarah Hilton Hagen, Michelle Parenti Thomasson, Matthew Parenti, Alyssa Parenti Lynn, Madison Cherry and Brayden Brogdon.

Brenda faced life with courage, resilience and a quiet strength; especially during her difficult battle with cancer. She had a love for bringing people together through the warmth of the kitchen. An exceptional cook, she found joy in preparing meals that nourished both body and soul (particularly her famous chicken & pastry!). Her love for gardening and canning reflected her deep appreciation for nature's bounty and the satisfaction of sharing it with others.

One of Brenda's most treasured traditions was spending summers with her sister, Honey, and their grandchildren/ nephews at what they affectionately called "Granny Camp." These gatherings were filled with laughter, learning, and love—memories that will be cherished by all who took part.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held on August 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Harleyville Cemetery, S. Railroad Ave, Harleyville, SC. A Memorial gathering will immediately follow the graveside service.
