Obituary

Betty peacefully went to her heavenly home on the morning of 12/7/22.  She was born on 12/6/25 in Tellico Plains, Tn, to Ray and Abbie Lovelace, and celebrated her 97th birthday the day before she went home.  With Jack Wooldridge, she raised children Mike (Alice), Susan (Giacomo), Debbye (Bob), and Chuck (Beverly).  She was predeceased by her eldest son, Mike.  Grandchildren: Sara, Kelly, Jackie, Stacey, and Matthew, along with several great and great-great-grandchildren.

In her ninety-seven trips around our star, Betty traveled wide and far.  From the Southern Highlands of Tennessee to the lowland desert of southern California.  While a Mom and wife, Betty pursued nursing, food management, and music. She played piano at the USO club in LA for the soldiers prior to their departure in WWII.  Betty was an avid reader, sometimes reading a book a day.  She loved cooking, gardening, painting, swimming, and playing scrabble or bridge, and continued these pursuits into her 90's.  She spent the last 21 years of her life living with Debbye and Bob on the river in Wando SC.  A Celebration of her life will be in the spring, at her home on the river.  She attended Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant.
