Arthur Monroe
Cantrell
Nov 21, 1947 — Oct 12, 2025
On October 12th 2025, a light left this world. Arthur (Art) Cantrell born November 21st, 1947 passed away in his home, early in the afternoon.
As a young man he joined the Army and served our country as Miltary Police. He spent time stationed in Okinawa and could always spare a moment, or a few to share his stories of those days, and beyond. He was an avid painter, and handyman. He built birdhouses, restored homes and furniture. He enjoyed tinkering on anything car or mechanical related. His neighbors know him as the friendly older man who would mow their lawns, and refuse payment. He just enjoyed the time spent outside, as could be seen through his garden. He'd always be willing to share a new recipe with a loved one, or send them home with a plate of home made "love".
Art will be greatly missed by his loved ones, and all those whose lives he touched. He lives on through his wife, Jeanette Cantrell. His grandchildren, Shelby Thrower, Darby Thrower, and Gabriel Thrower. As well as his great grandchildren, Henry Thrower, Monroe Thrower, and Waylon Thrower. His wife also provided him with three stepsons, and 7 extra grandchildren.
The family appreciates all prayers and well wishes at this time. Thank you.
